The Meridian has gotten an update with the MY 2025 version where interestingly it gains a new 5-seater version. The Meridian till now has been a three-row SUV but the 5-seater version is aimed at making it more accessible. This means a starting price of Rs 24.99 lakh and that is a whopping Rs 6 lakh reduction in prices when compared to the original Jeep Meridian starting price which was upwards of Rs 31 lakh.

The 5-seater Jeep Meridian lets go of its third row and in that sense gains more boot space too. In all, the Meridian line-up has four variants: Longitude, Longitude Plus, Limited (O) and the Overland. Other than the 5-seater version, the Meridian has ADAS with over 10 features and connected car technology including remote engine start/stop and Alexa Home to vehicle. The Longitude has the 5-seater configuration with a new grey upholstery too.

The interior while not as luxurious as the other Meridian trims has a built to last feel while even the base variant gets a decent amount of features. Mechanically things stay the same with the 2.0l diesel engine and a 9-speed automatic with 4x2 and 4x4 options.

The 5-seater version brings in more boot space and also makes it a different alternative to the current crop of 5-seater big SUVs out there since the Meridian has good presence but now is priced better.

Of course this also means that the Meridian 5 seater is now overlapping with the Compass but gives buyers and option to get a bigger Jeep at a more competitive price.
