Mercedes-Benz EQA Electric SUV: The EQA has been unveiled for the Indian market and the specifications are out regarding this new EV SUV. The EQA would be the smallest EV within the Mercedes-Benz range in India along with being its most affordable. The EQA would only be sold with a 70.5 kWh long range battery pack which results in a range of 560km.


The EQA 250+ will come with a single motor specification and it will have a power output of 188 bhp and 385 Nm of torque. Top speed of this EV is 160 km/h. The EQA is the electric version of the GLA and is based on the smallest Mercedes-Benz SUV. Standard equipment for the EQA includes an 11 kW AC charger, two 10.25-inch screens, a panoramic sunroof, turbine style air vents, a 12 speaker Burmester audio system, 64 color ambient lighting, heads up display, augmented reality maps, connected car technology, dual zone climate control, power adjust memory seats, ADAS and more.


Externally, the EQA has 19-inch aero optimised wheels along with a blanked off grille similar to other EQ models.


In terms of the colour options, the EQA has eight colours:  Polar White, Night Black, Cosmos Black, Mountain Grey, High-tech Silver, Spectral Blue, Manufaktur Patagonia Red Metallic and Manufaktur Mountain Grey Magno.


The EQA will slot in below the EQB which is a three row electric SUV from Mercedes-Benz. Amongst the other feature upgrades the EQA gets the latest generation MBUX infotainment system also. Also, crucially Mercedes-Benz will offer 67 per cent assured buyback value at the end of four years of ownership and that is similar to their ICE cars.


Mercedes-Benz has said that it will launch no less than 12 new products this year and the EQA remains one of them which is due to be launched on the 8th of this month.
