Maserati has launched its luxury sports coupe, the GranTurismo in India with a starting price of Rs 2.7 crore. The GranTurismo is a sleek coupe and is a luxury GT of sorts while in its new generation form gets electric and a turbo petrol powertrain.

The sleek styling looks gorgeous and it is a coupe while in its new generation form, the re are new vertical headlamps plus a large grille. It has a long bonnet and a typical GT like short stubby rear styling plus the traditional Maserati like vents at the side are also there.

The electric version gets slightly different wheels and some changes to make it stand out as the EV version while the Folgore or the EV does not get tail-pipes of course. The EV version will come in 2025.

The interior is a lot more modern now over the last gen GranTurismo with a larger touchscreen and a digital clock plus new digital instrument cluster. The dashboard has a sporty look to it and the design is typical Maserati as well. Being a GT, there are rear seats which offer a decent amount of room on the inside too and the boot is pretty accomodating as well.

Unlike the previous GranTurismo there is no V8 but there is a V6 similar to the MC20 supercar with 490 bhp and 550 bhp power outputs. Top speed is also upwards of 300 km/h. Standard is an 8 speed automatic.

The electric Folgore version meanwhile has a lot more power at 750bhp with three electric motors no less. The GranTurismo is a luxury sports coupe and will be sold along with the MC20 and the Grecale Suv in India.  Maserati is also growing it's dealer network in India with a new dealer for the North region.
