Nexa was started with the launch of the S-Cross and it has been a big success with sales reaching 2 million plus units ever since its 2015 launch. The Maruti Suzuki sales outlets are divided into Arena and Nexa with Nexa focusing on more premium and lifestyle vehicles. The Nexa sales outlets struck gold with the launch of the Baleno and with the new one becoming the best-selling car in India, it is the most popular Nexa model. Nexa currently has 440 showrooms across 280 plus cities and 50% of its buyers are under 35 years of age.





Currently the Nexa range includes the Ignis, Baleno, XL6, Ciaz and Grand Vitara with other new entrants on the way. The move to launch a separate premium sales channel has worked with Nexa making up for 20% of total Maruti Suzuki sales. The Nexa range is currently led by the Baleno and new products like the Grand Vitara have also been successful in taking the Maruti Suzuki brand to a premium segment.

However, the future holds interesting launches with two new cars coming in the next few months. The Maruti Suzuki Fronx and the Jimny are going to be retailed via Nexa showrooms and will increase the Nexa range too.





Both of these new SUVs were unveiled at the Auto Expo and will launch shortly with the Fronx coming in earlier. The Fronx gets a turbo petrol unit and a 6-speed automatic while also having a 1.2l petrol along with an AMT. The other talked about product is the Jimny which is Maruti Suzuki making a return to the 4x4 segment. The Jimny is a compact off-roader with standard 4x4 and has been developed for India with a 5-door body style.
