With the Jimny all set to be launched in the coming months, the question in the minds of potential buyers is which variant to go for. Here we tell you which variant makes sense and a detailed overview of each variant on offer. With the Jimny, there are only two trim levels- Alpha and Zeta along with being available with manual/automatic gearbox options.

Zeta

With the Zeta trim you get steel wheels, a tailgate-mounted spare wheel, electric ORVM, front/rear wiper, manual day/night IRVM, manual AC, driver-side power window, power steering, front/rear adjustable headrest, tow hooks, a 17.78cm touchscreen, 4 speaker audio, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, front/side/curtain airbags, Hill Hold control, rearview camera, Hill descent control, ESP.

Alpha

The Alpha trim adds in alloy wheels, an auto headlamp with LEDs, a headlamp washer, fog lamps, retractable ORVMs, push button start/stop, cruise control, leather-wrapped steering wheel, climate control while getting the SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system with the bigger 22.86cm touchscreen, ARKAMYs audio system while getting dual tone options with red/black roof and Yellow/black roof.

Which Variant Makes More Sense?

While the Zeta is more value for money, the Alpha variant is worth the stretch in terms of getting some important convenience features like climate control or auto headlamps. While for off-road use, the Zeta variant makes more sense in terms of being a rugged basic vehicle with some creature comforts, for on-road use, the Alpha gets our vote. The Jimny would be retailed via Nexa showrooms and bookings of the car are underway.

The Jimny would be offered with a 1.5l petrol engine with 4x4 as standard while a 5-speed manual is offered along with a 4-speed automatic gearbox. The Jimny already has had a large number of bookings in the bag with the Alpha variant finding preference amongst buyers.
