Prices of the Grand Vitara from Maruti have been leaked and they are indeed quite aggressive. The Grand Vitara would be the most premium Nexa product and replaces the S-Cross. Maruti will launch the Grand Vitara around the start of the festive season with deliveries expected to start from September. 


While these prices are not officially released by Maruti, these do show that the Grand Vitara is by far the most affordable compact SUV with being priced under Rs 10 lakh starting.


The Grand Vitara would be coming with two engine options with the starting price being of the 1.5 mild Hybrid powertrains with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters. The manual will get AWD also. Then there is the strong hybrid which comes with an eCVT gearbox.




In terms of trim options, the Grand Vitara would be having the Nexa trim names with Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha. The Sigma 1.5l manual starts from Rs 9.5 lakh (ex-showroom) while the Delta manual 1.5 starts from Rs 11 lakh. The Zeta is priced at Rs 12 lakh and the top-end Alpha is Rs 13.5 lakh. The AWD is Rs 2 lakh more expensive at Rs 15.5 lakh for the 1.5 AWD manual.


The automatic variants are meanwhile Rs 1.5 lakh more expensive than the manual variants and is available from Delta at Rs 12.5 lakh.


The strong hybrid version would be available in Zeta and Alpha at Rs 17/18 lakh respectively. These prices are competitive given the strong hybrid powertrain and the standard 1.5 represents even better value undercutting rivals.
