Mahindra has released a teaser showcasing a concept version of a new pick-up and we expect it to be the replacement for the Scorpio Getaway. Hence, expect this pick-up to be based on the Scorpio N and being based on a new platform along with being much larger than the Getaway as the Scorpio N is also larger than the Classic. The new model would be called as Pik Up with a planned launch for pick-up-loving markets like Australia and South Africa, where Mahindra will unveil this new concept.

By the teasers shown, it is a concept version with radical details while the concept pick-up will get a double cab set-up. The concept pick-up also sports a sunroof while the front-end styling might be slightly different from the regular Scorpio N.

The Pik Up range will have a huge significance for international markets as Mahindra wants to increase its presence there further. In India, the pick-up market is nascent but has two players namely the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross and the recently launched Toyota Hilux. Every year Mahindra shows something big and exciting, while this year it will have many new unveils in store along with the Pik up also.

Expect this new Pik Up to be much more capable and luxurious than the Getaway with more features along with a tougher capability plus larger dimensions too. Mahindra is aggressively expanding its presence to international markets having recently added the new Scorpio N and the XUV700 to Australia along with introducing this new pick-up.

However, this is a concept as the production version will take a few years to come but it is a rugged new Hilux rival and we hope India also gets this new Pik up! We will have more details on this soon.
