New Delhi: Mahindra showcased its new range of electric SUVs last year based on its 'Inglo' platform which is a new electric architecture. The first SUVs from the electric range would include the XUV.e which would make its debut in 2024 while the BE range will come in 2025.

The car-maker however has shown a new concept from the BE range with the BE.05 with rugged styling bits. Called Rall-E, the off-road version is aimed at taking EVs off-road.

It is a concept for now but the chunky tyres and the huge ground clearance along with cladding makes it an ideal Rally based SUV which explains the name. There are two EV brands with the EV only BE and the XUV with a logo in copper.

In total there are five SUVs with the XUV.e8, XUV.e9, BE.05, BE.07 and BE.09. The first four of these are to be launched between 2024 and 2026. These EVs will have 60-80 kWh battery capacity while having rear and all wheel drive with single/dual motor layout.

The platform is a skateboard platform and the Rall-E showcases how you can go off-road in it.

The car is expected to go on sale in 2025 though not this off-road focused version though Mahindra can do a production version. The cars from BE and XUV EV platform will have a tech filled cabin with OTA updates along with other features too.

The XUV.e8 would be the first SUV from the electric family based on this platform and it will come at the end of next year. It will be an SUV coupe of sorts.

It will be joined by the XUV.e9 and both of these SUVs will come with an 80kWh battery pack with ample power output.
