Kia will launch the Sonet facelift soon and it will get mainly cosmetic changes. The Sonet will get a mildly altered front end with a new look thanks to an updated grille design plus a new headlamp set-up. The front bumper is also updated with a new look. The 16-inch alloy wheels will also see a new design while the rear styling will mostly be like the current one. Needless to say, the dimensions will remain the same.

Kia might also include new colours. Inside, the changes are bigger with a new interior colour on offer with a dual tone upholstery. Design wise, the centre console gets a new look with a different climate control screen plus the button layout is also changed with a toggle switch. The basic design layout is still the same though. Elsewhere, the steering wheel controls could also see a change in design.

The instrument cluster will also see a change and will be a digital unit similar to the Venue facelift. In terms of powertrains, the Sonet will continue to get the same 1.2 petrol and a 1.0l Turbo petrol plus a 1.5 diesel engine.

The iMT clutchless manual is expected to stay on while the turbo petrol will also be available with a DCT automatic with paddle shifters. The diesel will also get an iMT as before.

This segment has seen the launch of the new Tata Nexon and the new Hyundai Venue. Both of these SUVs are popular and the Sonet will get some tweaks to compete with them successfully. Expect the new Kia Sonet facelift to launch next year starting and it might have a small price hike owing to the changes being done.
