New Delhi: Kia Carens is all set for launch soon but it has already received a sizable number of bookings on its first day. Bookings for the Carens only started a day or two back with the booking amount being set to Rs 25,000. On its first day, The Carens has managed to get 7738 bookings. 


What Are The Options?


The Carens will come in five trims- Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury, and Luxury Plus with features spread out pretty well across all variants. Kia also revealed recently that the car will have standard features like 6 airbags- something all cars soon will have. 


Features


The overall features list of the Carens includes Kia Connect with 66 Connected Car features,  26.03 Cm (10.25”) HD Touchscreen Navigation, 8-speaker BOSE audio system,  Smart Pure Air Purifier with Virus and Bacteria protection, Ventilated front seats, 2nd Row Seat “One Touch Easy Electric Tumble” and a Sunroof. 







Mileage & Other Details


Kia has also kept the engine/gearbox option to three choices. The range includes a Smartstream 1.5 Petrol, Smartstream 1.4 T-GDi Petrol, and 1.5 CRDi VGT Diesel with three transmission options – 6MT, 7DCT, and 6AT. The turbo petrol will get a DCT option while the diesel will have a torque converter automatic on offer. 


The Carens also claim the longest wheelbase in its class while also being amongst the longest in terms of length. To be available with two seating configurations, the Carens aims to be a premium MPV and give competition to the likes of the Toyota Innova Crysta to even the Hyundai Alcazar.
