The W175 Street from Kawasaki aims to be better value with a price cut and some enhancements while the retro styling remains its biggest highlight. The W175 Street is actually Rs 12,000 cheaper than the W175 standard version and comes across as a better value buy.
Styling wise, the Street W175 gets alloy wheels and tubeless tyres and that means it is an upgrade over the tube tyres and spoked wheels of the standard W175 version. There is no change in tyre size though with the size being 80/100 for the front and 100/90 for the rear with 17-inch.
However, a close look at the specifications show that the W175 Street has some changes in terms of the ground clearance and the wheelbase plus the seat height. It is less retro than the standard W175 with snazzier colours and new graphics. The Street also has more blacked out parts over the standard W175.

If we talk about the powertrain, the W175 Street does not get any changes here with the same 12.8bhp and 13.2Nm from the 177cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine along with a 5-speed gearbox. Elsewhere you get a 30 mm telescopic fork at the front and dual shocks at the rear. The front and rear suspension are combined with the rigid frame. This motorcycle also continues with the retro touches including the speedometer along with the overall design theme. Other details include a 270 mm Front Disc with Single Channel ABS.
If we talk about the value, the W175 is more of a retro bike with a focus on a simple but different experience while rivals clearly offer more features here but the W175 is not for sheer numbers. The design is the charm and that sort of makes up for the simple ethos and the lack of features. This motorcycles competes with rivals like the Royal Enfield Hunter and is the most affordable offering from this brand
