The Gurkha is a hardcore off-roader but Force Motors has added some more features along with a 5-door version too. The new Gurkha comes in both 3- and 5-door form with the 5-door version being significantly longer than the 3-door with a longer wheelbase too at 2825mm wheelbase.

The Gurkha 5 door also stands taller but maintains the off-road ability of the smaller 3-door sibling. In terms of the styling, the Gurkha 5-door gets new LED headlamps with a follow me home function plus an updated grille. There are also much bigger 18 inch alloy wheels now.

You also cannot miss the snorkel which is standard while at the rear there are new LED lights. A spare wheel and roof rack also adds to the appeal of the car. Inside, there is a bigger 9 inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple Car play plus a digital instrument cluster and a rear view camera. Elsewhere there are powered mirrors and a TPMS system.

There is a new 4x4 knob which makes it easier to engage than the earlier Gurkha. The 5-door version gets seven seats too.

Standard is a 2.6l diesel with a 5-speed manual but now there is an auto start stop feature plus there is more power too at 140 bhp.

There is no automatic version though and it is only available with a manual gearbox. The prices for this updated Gurkha would be revealed in May 2024 while bookings are open.

While still being a hardcore offroader, the Gurkha is now a bit more user friendly and practical.
