New Delhi: The C3 from Citroen has been spotted without any camouflage on Indian roads which indicates that a launch is happening soon.

The C3 is not an SUV but more of a raised hatchback while being a lot like a crossover.

The C3 would be the second product after the C5 Aircross and would be made in India with aggressive localization.

Speaking of which, the 90 per cent localization will mean an aggressive price-tag to make it cheaper than other subcompact SUVs.

The India spec version seen here tells you how the car looks and like any Citroen, it is quite stylish with the way the headlamps/DRLs are separate.

Despite not being an SUV, the C3 has plenty of SUV-like styling details like cladding, good ground clearance plus a raised SUV like stance.

The C3 will also have accessories along with various coloured inserts on the car.

The interior will also get coloured inserts and a sporty cabin while some signs of cost-cutting are there like window controls in the middle along with manual AC.

However, there would be a 10inch touchscreen with smartphone connectivity along with a digital instrument cluster amongst other features.

The C3 would be launched with a 1.2l petrol engine with a manual gearbox along with a proper automatic and not an AMT.

The price will dictate the success of the C3 and we hope it is around the 5 lakh mark which would make it cheaper than the Tata Punch which starts at Rs 5.4 lakh while also undercutting the base Nissan Magnite which starts at Rs 5.7 lakh.
