Till now we have seen the Tata Harrier with the Dark edition treatment and it has been well-received enough for Tata Motors to try it out with their other models. Hence, now the Dark edition has been launched with the Altroz, Nexon and the Nexon EV while being reintroduced with the Harrier too!

So what is the Dark edition all about? Is it just painting them in black? Actually, no as Tata Motors has gone ahead with the black theme and updated the interiors along with the alloys too. The Altroz for one looks fantastic with the new Cosmos black colour as in person you see how good the paint finish looks along with a glossy black which we are sure will get attention on the roads.

The alloys have a dark grey finish along with external badging as well. Even the dashboard gets the glossy black treatment while the dark embroidered leatherette seats are also, well, black. The interior also gets some blue stitching too. The Altroz Dark edition is available with the top variant XZ+ for petrol (NA and iTurbo).

The Nexon Dark meanwhile sports new Charcoal Black R16 Alloys, dark badging, silver highlights while matte cladding rounds off the look nicely. Like the Altroz, the Dark edition Nexon gets leatherette upholstery with Tri-arrow perforations on seats and door trim and the Dark embroidery of course. Nexon Dark will be available in XZ+, XZA+, XZ+(O) & XZA+(O) variants, in both petrol and diesel. Like the standard Nexon, the EV version gets a Midnight Black exterior colour with Satin Black humanity line and beltline, Dark badging and an all-new Charcoal Grey alloy wheels.

The car will also get iTPMS (Tyre pressure monitoring system). Additionally, the Nexon EV XZ+ variant will have rear seat central armrest with cup-holders, 60:40 rear seat split and adjustable rear seat headrests.

Finally, the big Harrier Dark gets a new  Oberon black colour with a tinge of deep blue while the bigger 18inch black alloys further make the Harrier dark look really nice. The interior is also all black with a  Leatherette upholstery carrying a special Tri-Arrow theme along with Dark embroidery. You can get the Harrier Dark in XT+, XZ+ & XZA+.

For the Altroz Dark the price increase is Rs 30,000 while for the Nexon it is 45,000. The Harrier Dark is more expensive by Rs 28,000 over the earlier Dark Harrier. For the small increase, the new black treatment actually increases the appeal of these cars and it is worth the extra if you fancy a black colour.
