Tata has shown a more production-ready avatar of its Altroz Racer in India. The Altroz Racer is a hot hatchback and expands the Altroz range. It will rival the likes of the i20 N Line from Hyundai.
Tata had earlier shown a version at the 2023 Auto Expo, but this one brings in hope to get performance enthusiasts excited as it looks to be more ready for production. While it still has a concept moniker, it would be a flagship iteration within the Altroz family.

In terms of exterior styling, the Altroz Racer has a racier dual-tone colour with stripes in the middle. It looks a lot more aggressive along with a race car-like look. The stripes go all over the car and come in contrasting white over the black. The exterior colour is striking as well.
There are new 16-inch diamond cut alloys finished in black, too, and that adds to the stance of the car. The Altroz Racer is also more premium in terms of interiors as it comes with a 7-inch TFT digital instrument cluster and a 'racier' interior, thanks to the new-look seats. It gets a heads-up display, a 360-degree camera, rear AC vents and a lot more.

There are also ventilated seats and a voice-operated sunroof. The USP, though, is the 1.2 L turbo petrol engine, which develops 120ps and 170Nm and brings in a lot of power over the Altroz's current petrol version. We think the eventual production spec Altroz Racer will come with either a DCT or a manual. The Racer, while being currently a concept, could spawn a more powerful version of the Altroz in the near future.
