For Ather the Rizta is a new family focussed scooter and not as sporty as the 450 siblings but it touted to be an affordable yet easy to live scooter with the longest seat. Here, we will take a look at the top 5 things that you need to know about this new Ather.

The Rizta is bulkier and comes across more boxy than the 450 which is more sharper in design. There are many 450 elements but the dual tone design is pleasant to the eye while the rear styling surely stands more than the front. Fit and finish is decent.

The long seat is very comfortable and will accommodate two adults while the backrest which is available on the Z model adds more practicality. The storage capacity including the frunk is 56 litres and that is a pretty good amount of space on offer. There is also an accessory organiser in the shape of a carry bag.

The TFT display is familiar while the layout has been tweaked while tech comes in the form of pairing your smartphone and through this you can recieve navigation alerts, last 5 whatsapp messages etc You can also track the location of your Rizta scooter.

Some of the bits are of course shared with the 450s but here, the specs are 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh battery while the larger battery pack one will give 160km range IDC. There is more range over the 450x but there is no Warp mode too while the tapered riding suits its more practical ethos. Power output is less than the 450X at 5.7 bhp. Two other features are also there including the traction control system and the Magic Twist regen braking system. The regen braking system is also nicely done and convenient. Even the water wading capability is 400mm.

The Rs 1.10 lakh to Rs 1.45 lakh pricing puts it in the middle of its competition and the key strengths include the space and comfort along with the features. It can certainly make a dent in this segment.
