A day after Kesineni Nani quit Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and met Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) chief Jaga Mohan Reddy, YSRCP announced its decision to field Nani from Vijayawada Lok Sabha Constituency, as reported by ANI. With this, the constituency is set to face a fierce battle between Keineni Srinivas and his brother Kesineni Sivanath, who is likely to contest the seat from TDP ticket.


According to ANI, YSRCP fields Kesineni Nani from Vijayawada Parliamentary constituency. He is all set to join the party after resigning as Vijayawada MP and from TDP.

Kesineni Srinivas, a Lok Sabha MP from TDP, announced his resignation from the party and shared the news of submitting his resignation from Lok Sabha membership to Speaker Om Birla on Wednesday. Subsequently, Srinivas posted pictures alongside YSRCP chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on his social media platforms. In a post on 'X', Srinivas said, "I have submitted my resignation to my membership of Lok Sabha Vijayawada (constituency) to the Speaker through email and requested him to accept my resignation with immediate effect." 


After meeting with Reddy, Srinivas said, "Had a productive courtesy call with Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy today. Discussed important matters concerning our state's progress and development. Grateful for his time and commitment to our shared vision for a better future."  














While announcing his decision to quit the party, Srinivas said, "Remaining in the party is not appropriate for me." Moreover, he expressed his belief that the party no longer requires his services.
