The YSRCP announced the names of three Rajya Sabha candidates YV Subba Reddy, ⁠Golla Baburao and ⁠Meda Raghunath Reddy on Thursday. 


After the announcement, according to ANI, Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy met the newly announced three Rajya Sabha candidates of the party, YV Subba Reddy, ⁠Golla Baburao, ⁠Meda Raghunath Reddy in Vijayawada.

The Rajya Sabha election is set to take place on February 27, marking the conclusion of terms for K Ravindra Kumar (TDP), CM Ramesh (BJP), and V Prabhakar Reddy (YSRCP) from Andhra Pradesh.

On Monday, the Election Commission announced that the biennial Rajya Sabha polls on February 27 for 56 seats, including those currently held by notable figures such as former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and BJP President JP Nadda, whose terms will expire in April.






Following TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu's meetings with Union Minister Shah and BJP leader Nadda in Delhi, YSRCP supremo and CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is set to visit the national capital. Jagan has also sought Shah's appointments.

Naidu, after discussions with BJP leadership, has returned to Hyderabad.
