Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MP Kesineni Nani announced his decision to quit the party on Saturday. Expressing his belief that the party does not require his services anymore, he said that it was not right for him to continue in the party. The decision of Kesineni Nani came at a time when the party is set to face Andhra Pradesh Assembly polls simultaneously with Lok Sabha elections in a few months.
According to ANI, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MP Kesineni Nani in a Facebook post announced his decision to quit the party, expressing his belief that the party no longer requires his services. He stated, "It is not right for me to continue in the party."
Further, he said he will meet Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to formally submit his resignation from his Lok Sabha membership. Additionally, he will tender his resignation from the TDP immediately.

Further, Vijayawada MP alleged that TDP decided to replace him in the upcoming elections and said that TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu directed him not to be involved in the party matters.
The social media post also came amid speculations that Srinivas might cross over to BJP. Kesineni Srinivas was first elected as an MP from Vijayawada Lok Sabha constituency in 2014 Lok Sabha elections and again from the same constituency in 2019. Both times, the MP contested on behalf of TDP.
Vijayawada is the second-largest city in Andhra Pradesh.
