Hyderabad: Due to surface circulation, heavy rains will occur in some Andhra Pradesh and Telangana districts for the next four days. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert in some parts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.


Due to the this impact, heavy rains will occur in Andhra till August 4, and heavy to very heavy rains will occur in many districts of Telangana till August 5, according to the IMD. The surface trough continued to 1.5 km above mean sea level and weakened to 3.1 km. 


Yellow Alert Issued For 13 Telangana Districts


The Hyderabad Met Office has issued a yellow alert that there will be heavy to very heavy rains in some districts of Telangana till August 5 due to the influence of surface circulation. Winds are blowing at 6 to 12 km per hour from the east and northeast directions in Hyderabad. A yellow alert has been issued in Nagarkurnool, Rangareddy, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Janagaon, Mahabubnagar, Mahabubabad, Warangal Urban, Warangal Rural, Karimnagar, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Bhadradri, Khammam and Vikarabad districts.






Heavy Rains In North Coastal AP Till August 4


The effect of the surface period is having a high impact on north Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam. The Amaravati Meteorological Department has said that Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam districts will receive heavy rains till August 4. A yellow alert has also been issued for these areas. Officials said light showers to moderate rains would occur in East Godavari and West Godavari.







The Amaravati Met Office has issued a yellow alert that Rayalaseema is expected to receive heavy rains. Light showers will occur in the Guntur, Prakasam, Krishna and Nellore districts of South Coastal Andhra. People have been alerted by issuing a yellow alert for rain with thunder and lightning in the Kurnool, Chittoor, Anantapur and Kadapa districts of Rayalaseema.
