The YSRCP and Telugu Desam Party entered in war of words after videos showing condom packs with party names and symbols printed on them were allegedly distributed among the people in Andhra Pradesh. The state is set to witness Assembly and Lok Sabha polls simultaneously in April-May this year.

The two parties took to social media to blame each other.

Taking to X, YSRCP said, "Finally distributing condoms to people for their party campaign. What sought of publicity madness is this? Will they next give Viagras? At least will they stop here or stoop to another low."

Hitting out at YSRCP, TDP said, "Why are you shouting about preparation..Is this the siddam (preparedness) the party was talking about?"

Andhra Pradesh is gearing up for simultaneous polls with the Lok Sabha elections and although the official election campaign has yet to commence in the state, both the ruling YSRCP and the opposition TDP, are actively vying to sway potential voters in their direction.

Despite the absence of an official campaign kickoff, both parties' leaders, CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy and TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu, are extensively traversing the state and conducting political rallies. However, amidst these activities, accusations have arisen from both sides, with each party alleging the other to distribute condoms adorned with their respective party symbols to voters.

The TDP has formed an alliance with actor Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena party in a move to challenge the ruling YSRCP.
