Hyderabad: Low pressure in the southern Andaman Sea to affect Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Yanam and other states in the coastal belt. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rains in Andhra Pradesh till May 6 due to low pressure formation, and Telangana will receive light to moderate rains till May 7.


IMD also predicted the low pressure area extends from East Vidarbha through Telangana and Rayalaseema to Tamil Nadu up to 0.9 km above sea level. The South Andaman Sea is expected to have a surface periodicity around May 4 and weaken within 24 hours.


The Amaravati Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate showers in the northern coastal areas of Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam, Vijayanagaram, East Godavari districts and Yanam for another three days from Tuesday. 


Nandigama, on the other hand, recorded the highest maximum temperature of 43 degrees. Gannavaram recorded a high of 41.8 degrees while Amaravati recorded a highest of 41.4 degrees on Monday.

Telangana To Receive Rainfall


The Hyderabad Meteorological Department has predicted rains in Telangana till May 7 due to low pressure in the southern Andamans. Adilabad, Komuram Bhim, Asifabad, Manchirala and Nirmal districts of the state are likely to experience Hailstorms.


The utmost and least temperatures to be recorded in Hyderabad and surrounding areas are around 41˚C and 29˚C respectively for the next 24 hours.
