Former Minister and Visakhapatnam North MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao on Sunday, wrote once again to the Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Tammineni Sitaram, to immediately accept his resignation from the Assembly.
Earlier, TDP leader Ganta Srinivasa Rao signed a letter addressed to the Assembly Speaker at a relay hunger strike against the privatisation of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) organised by the "Visakha Ukku Parirakshana Porata Committee" in Visakhapatnam.
At that time, he announced to the media that he had sent his resignation letter to the Speaker and said that he would send another letter in the Speaker format later. He had also informed the formation of a non-political JAC to fight against the proposed privatisation of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.

While Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Visakhapatnam, the Steel Plant Protection Committee has resolved to make a request to the Prime Minister to halt the privatisation of steel plants.
PM Modi will be on a two-day visit to Visakhapatnam from November 11.
During his visit, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for a slew of projects. He will launch construction works for the redevelopment of the Visakhapatnam railway station. PM Modi is also to commission the modernisation and expansion projects of the Visakha Refinery, the green campus at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Visakhapatnam, and cruise terminal works.
The PM will lay the foundation stone for several sanctioned projects in Visakhapatnam, including the new office complex of the sanctioned South Coast Rail Zone, which has its headquarters in Visakhapatnam.
PM Modi will address a public meeting at the Andhra University’s Engineering College Ground in Visakhapatnam on November 12.
