Hyderabad: A Kadapa resident held in Kuwait's central jail on charges of triple murder allegedly committed suicide inside prison.
According to sources, Venkatesh, 35-year-old a resident of Dinnepalam near Lakkireddy Village, Kadapa, went to Kuwait for job and joined Seth Ahmed's family as a car driver. Later, he found another job after he left his previous job. He also took his wife two years back.
But, after his former boss's wife, his daughter and another person was killed, Venkatesh was accused of commiting the heinous crime.
After his arrest, Kuwait police said that he was accused of killing Ahmed's wife, daughter, and another person in the Ardiya area of Kuwait.
However, Venkatesh's family members argued that he was innocent and had been framed in the murder case. Swathi, Venkatesh's wife claimed that her husband had been wrongfully imprisoned and charged with murder of his former boss's family.
She added that although he had visited his old employer's house a few times to settle visa-related issues, he had nothing to do with the murders.
Reportedly, the murders took place on March 4 but it was only discovered four days later when the neighbours complained to the local authorities of a foul odour coming from their house.
After Venkatesh was arrested for the triple murder, Swathi was deported to India last week.
According to media sources, Kuwait police claimed to have solved the triple murder case using CCTV evidence where Venkatesh was traced and later detained in the Sulaybia area by the police.
During the police interrogation, Venkatesh admitted to have have committed the crime over some financial dispute, police officials said.
According to reports, officials are now investigating the circumstances behind Venkatesh's death. Investigation is underway and further details on the incident are awaited, police said.
