Hyderabad: The CBI has intensified its probe in the former Member of Parliament YS Vivekananda Reddy's murder case. The CBI officials on Wednesday have arrested Shiv Shankar Reddy, a suspect in the murder case of YS Vivekananda. He was taken into custody and shifted to the CBI office in Hyderabad. Shiv Sankar is to be produced in the Pulivendula court on Thursday. 


His name appeared in the recent Vivekananda Reddy driver's arrest testimony. His name is on the list of suspects given to the High Court by Vivekananda's daughter Sunita.


On the flip side, Shiv Shankar's son wrote to CBI stating that his father had surgery three days ago and the doctors suggested that he should be monitored.


Shiv Shankar seems to be the prominent supporter of Kadapa MP Avinash Reddy. The alleged accused has already been interrogated several times by CBI officials in Kadapa and Pulivendula.

According to a report in the ABP Desam, the trial of this case is nearing completion. The CBI officials have collected the details of the murder case, names of the murderers and their accomplices, and the conspiracy theorists. 


CBI officials have revealed that a Supari of Rs 40 crore was paid for Vivekananda's murder. It is learned that the CBI has confirmed that Viveka was killed due to a land dispute. The officials further said that the suspects are being prosecuted once again as the case investigation is nearing its final stage.


Viveka's car driver SK Dastagiri reportedly revealed names and a lot of information in his confession statement to the CBI during the interrogation. Dastagiri reportedly said that Erra Gangireddy, Sunil Yadav and Gujjula Umashankar Reddy were involved in the murder case of the former Minister.
