World Population Day — Where Does The Globe Stand?

July 11 is observed as World Population Day by the United Nations every year.

Population data helps determine a nation's and the global fertility rate, gender parity in education, health, and a lot more.

At present, the world population stands at
over 8 billion.


It took just 77 years for the global population to double.

The fertility rate per woman in 2024 is 2.3.

The current life expectancy at birth for males is 71 years.

The life expectancy at birth for females is 76 years.
