Eid al Fitr 2024: Know How To Prepare Rose Zarda Pulao

Wash and soak the rice in water for about 30 minutes

Soak a pinch of saffron in a tablespoon of warm milk. Set aside

In a pot, bring water to boil. Add the rice and cook till the rice is about 80 percent done. Drain and set it aside

In a separate pan, heat ghee over medium heat. Add chopped nuts and raisins. Cook them until the nuts turn golden and the raisins plump up.

Add the cooked rice to the pan. Pour the sugar syrup over the rice

Add rose water, cardamom powder and saffron milk

Gentle mix everything together until well combined

Cover the pan with a lid and let the rice cooked on low heat for 10-15 minutes

Once the rice is cooked through and the flavors are infused, turn off the heat

Garnish with dried rose petals,  Khoya and nuts
