A protest has been staged at Jantar Mantar by renowned athletes of India against WFI president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

Vijender Singh, 1st Indian boxer to win at Olympics, also joined the protest against sexual harassment of coaches & WFI Chief.

Bajrang Punia asked CPI(M) leader Brinda Karat to not make this protest political and asked her to get off of the stage.

Singh refuted all allegations against him and said that he will only address the press in the evening.

Sports Minister Anurag Thakur arrived on Thursday evening in Delhi to meet wrestlers who are protesting.

BJP leader Babita Phogat met the protestors at Jantar Mantar. She assured protestors that the govt is with them.

Wrestlers Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik and Bajrang Punia arrived at Jantar Mantar on Thursday morning to sit on 'dharna.'

Babita Phogat was also present with Anurag Thakur and other wrestlers yesterday during the meeting.

Congress MLA & renowned former athlete, Dr Krishna Poonia joined the protest and urged PM to give justice to the wrestlers.

DCW Chief Swati Maliwal argued that WFI president should be arrested and alleged coaches should be punished as well.
