Queen Elizabeth, who took the British throne 5 yrs after India's Independence, had good ties with India. She visited India thrice.

Her first visit to India was in January 1961

The Queen passed away at 96, on September 8. The world mourns her death.

Prince Charles inherited the throne after Queen's death. He will be crowned as the King and will be known as King Charles III.
