Following heavy rainfall in Delhi on Wednesday, Congress has expressed significant concerns over waterlogging in the new Parliament building. Congress MP Manickam Tagore from Virudhunagar has issued a notice to the Speaker of the Lok Sabha, highlighting the issue of water leakage and flooding in various parts of the building, including the entrance used by the President of India. Tagore has proposed forming a special committee comprising MPs from all parties to thoroughly inspect the building. The committee will investigate the causes of the leakage, assess the building's design and materials, and recommend necessary repairs. A copy of the notice has been sent to the Lok Sabha Speaker, the Ministry, and the Parliamentary Affairs Ministry.
