The coronavirus (covid-19) pandemic has brought the economy of the nation to a screeching halt. The Narendra Modi government rolled out an economic package for the poor and underprivileged. The rich were already self-sufficient to deal with financial challenges.

But what about the middle class? 38% of taxpayers have either lost their jobs or are working at a reduced income with more expenses to safeguard their families. Why have they been left high and dry by the government?
