After a stampede broke out at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, the Akhada Parishad decided to cancel the Amrit Snan (holy bath) on Mouni Amavasya. Akhada Parishad President Ravindra Puri confirmed this decision, stating that in light of the stampede, the planned bathing ritual on Mouni Amavasya would not take place. Additionally, all akhadas have called back their processions to their camps. In an exclusive conversation with ABP News, Ravindra Puri expressed his regret over the situation, acknowledging the significance of the event. He noted that it was a major occasion, and it might be unfortunate that the ritual could not be performed as planned. This event, coming once in 140 years, has left many disappointed.
