In a major blow to Congress, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah trailed on both Badami and Chamundeshwari seats. As per the latest trends, the chances of Congress forming a party even with JD(S)' support; on the other hand, BJP is likely to form the government single-handedly, as it is very close to majority.
