Ghanti Bajao: Huge amount is spent during elections but not for Kerala flood victims

A big 'THANKS' was painted in huge fonts on the rooftop of a house near Kochi to convey the gratitude of the people of Kerala towards defence personnel who were leading the rescue mission in Kerala, after raging floods left the state marooned.

This note on the mossy roof of a two-storeyed building at Paravoor can be read by personnel from helicopters engaged in rescue operations.

This was the very same house from which two nervous women were dramatically winched up to safety by a brave Navy commando when torrential rains lashed Kerala three days ago.
