Fire at Parel skyscraper in Mumbai: 2 killed, 25 rescued

A massive fire broke out in the 12th floor of a posh residential building in Parel area this morning. The blaze has claimed four lives so far and injured several others. The 16-storeyed building 'Crystal Tower' is located near Hindmata Cinema.
Additional Commissioner of Police (special branch) Ravindra Shisve who is overseeing the rescue operations told ABP News that one elderly woman, three males have died in the inferno.
The smoke from the raging fire spread rapidly and residents were trapped on the building's staircases, Mumbai Fire Brigade chief P S Rahangdale was quoted by news agency PTI. Efforts were on to douse the flames and rescue the residents of the building, he said.
