Amritsar Train Accident: This booth could have saved the lives

 Punjab CM Amarinder Singh ordered a magisterial inquiry into the tragic train accident in which at least 59 people were crushed to death. The inquiry has been launched under the supervision of the divisional commissioner who will submit a report in four weeks. The chief minister postponed a trip to Israel and arrived here this morning to take a stock of the situation.

The horrific train accident accident occured on Friday evening, when close to 1,000 people watching a huge Ravana effigy burn up where mowed up by a speeding Jalandhar-Amritsar Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) passenger train that was heading to Hoshiarpur from Amritsar at around 7 pm.
