Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2023 Seoul Event Highlights: Galaxy Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, Watch 6 Series And Tab S9 Series Launched

Samsung on Wednesday (July 26) launched two new smartphones in the Galaxy Z series, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5. This is the second Galaxy Unpacked event of the year that started at 4:30 pm IST in Seoul, South Korea, Samsung's home turf.There's a digital event which can be live-streamed online and a physical launch event would take place for the first time in South Korea as the tech giant has always hosted its launch events in the US or European countries. Samsung is expected to officially unveil two foldable devices, the Galaxy Tab S9 series of tablets, the Galaxy Watch 6 series and the Galaxy Buds 3 truly wireless stereo (TWS) earphones at the Galaxy Unpacked event. Samsung's new iteration of flagship foldables is said to bring several improvements over their predecessors, including such as bigger cover displays, better cameras and slimmer profiles.Samsung Mobile Chief TM Roh is likely to address the launch event, based on the handset maker's previous launches. A top Samsung executive recently revealed key details of the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5. According to TM Roh, President and Head of MX Business, Samsung Electronics, the company has "raised the standards for foldable smartphone ergonomics". The portability of Samsung's foldable phones has garnered great interest in the past week after the release of Google's maiden foldable phone, the Google Pixel Fold. Even as there are similarities between the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Pixel Fold, the latter is 0.2 inches thinner.Some reports also suggest that the company may not refresh its TWS lineup this year. The tech major has also officially teased several videos indicating new design hints for its foldable and flip phones.Expected Specs And Design Of Galaxy Z Fold 5 And Galaxy Z Flip 5The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is said to introduce a few visual tweaks compared to last year's Galaxy Z Fold 4. The clamshell-type Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 foldable is likely to come with a bigger cover display compared to last year's Galaxy Z Flip 4, which comes with a 1.9-inch outer display. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 would compete with other clamshell-type devices such as the newly launched Motorola Razr 40 Ultra and Oppo Find N2 Flip.
