Apple Sees Decline In Shipments As Samsung Reclaims Throne. Here's How Top 5 Brands Fared

Following a robust performance in the December quarter, where it surpassed Samsung to become the world's top phone maker, Apple saw a significant sales downturn in Q1 of this year.

According to new data from research firm International Data Corporation (IDC), Cupertino, California-based Apple witnessed roughly a 10 per cent decline in smartphone shipments in the first quarter (Q1) of 2024 in the wake of heightened competition from Android smartphone manufacturers vying for dominance. The iPhone maker was pushed to the second spot by South Korean tech giant Samsung which emerged as the leading smartphone maker with a market share of 20.8 per cent, surpassing Apple. Apple
