Samsung Galaxy S23 Series Launch Highlights: Next-Gen Flagships Unveiled; OnePlus 11 Series Launch To Follow
The Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event saw the launch of the next-gen Galaxy S23 flagship phones and new laptops from Samsung, days ahead of the launch of the flagship OnePlus 11.
Samsung also unveiled the Galaxy Book 3 Pro series laptops that are powered by 13th-gen Intel processors, come in two display sizes and run on the Windows 11 OS.
Pricing of the Galaxy S23 will start at $799, the Galaxy S23+ will cost $999 and the Galaxy S23 Ultra will cost $1,199.
The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ both come with 50MP triple camera setup, comprising a 12MP ultrawide lens and 10MP telephoto camera with 3x zoom. The selfie camera gets upgraded to 12MP.
Camera details of Galaxy S23 Ultra: 200MP ISOCELL sensor, 12MP sensor (16-in-1 pixel binning in low light), 50MP sensor (4-in-1 pixel binning in standard light).
Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra use Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC globally.

Samsung may also unveil a bunch of new laptops alongside the new Galaxy S23 series at the Unpacked 2023.
After years of launching Galaxy S series devices with Exynos chips in some regions, rumours suggest that Samsung would tap Qualcomm for all new models of the Galaxy S23 lineup.
The premium handset segment in India is dominated by the likes of Apple and Samsung, but it will take the latter to do more than just yearly upgrades to remain the flag bearer of the Android camp, especially in the wake of economic slowdown, falling consumer demand and upcoming premium smartphone launches from Android handset makers OnePlus, Vivo and others that will take happen later in the year.

Samsung is set to host its first Galaxy Unpacked event in three years. The Galaxy Unpacked 2023 will be a flagship event from the South Korean tech giant and also its first in-person event that will be held in Masonic Auditorium in San Francisco, three years since the coronavirus pandemic. The event will start at 11:30 pm IST on Wednesday (February 1) and officially launch the much-awaited Galaxy S23 series of smartphones. The unveiling of the Galaxy S23 series comes days ahead of the launch of the flagship OnePlus 11 and the OnePlus 11R.
The Galaxy S23 lineup will be the company's next-generation non-folding flagship smartphones and may come with the top-tier Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. All the models in the Galaxy S23 lineup may come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which would bring a significant jump in the CPU and GPU performance of the devices along with better thermal management.
Samsung will also live-stream the launch of the Galaxy S23 line on its official YouTube channel, Samsung Newsroom, Samsung.com and Samsung India’s YouTube channel. The handset maker is expected to officially unveil three smartphones -- the vanilla Galaxy S23, the Galaxy S23+ and the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The new Galaxy S23 smartphones will come with different display and battery sizes and the premium Galaxy S23 Ultra will feature the best specs, recent rumours said.
According to rumours, Samsung is likely to use AMOLED E6 panel in the upcoming Galaxy S23 series. The same AMOLED E6 was also featured on the new iQOO 11.
The upcoming Galaxy S23 lineup is expected to come with top-tier faster Snapdragon chipsets and better camera hardware.
Meanwhile, carrying on the tradition of launching the first smartphone in the industry to incorporate Corning’s new Gorilla Glass protection, Samsung will unveil the flagship Galaxy S23 series with the Gorilla Glass Victus 2 that was unveiled a few months back.
