Mumbai sees rise in H1N1

Meanwhile, at least four people in Mumbai who contract the H1N1 virus are on life support, according to a Times of India report. The civic body has so far reported at least 11 cases in July, TOI reported.

H1N1 (Swine Flu) is an infection caused by an influenza strain started in pigs. The symptoms are fever, cough, sore throat, chills, weakness and body aches.

The rise in H1N1 cases began three weeks ago, according to Dr Rajesh Sharma, who told TOI that patients would come in with high fever and upper respiratory tract infection but tested negative for Covid-19.
