Lucknow: All the parties have geared up for the assembly elections to be held in Uttar Pradesh next year. Priyanka Gandhi has also reached Lucknow for her much-awaited 3-day visit to Uttar Pradesh. Priyanka Gandhi will be in UP till July 18. During this visit, she will oversee the preparations of the Congress party for the assembly elections.


The Congress party is leaving no stone unturned in preparing for the assembly elections to be held next year. Priyanka Gandhi has come to UP to ensure strength and stability within the Congress party members. Priyanka Gandhi is on a tour of Lucknow after a gap of one and a half years.

In this visit, Priyanka plans to strengthen the preparations of the Congress Party for the 2022 assembly elections. Hoardings, banners, party flags have been put up everywhere in Lucknow to welcome Priyanka. The party headquarters, with its new look, is also gearing up to give grand welcome to Priyanka Gandhi.


Priyanka Gandhi will go to Hazratganj to garland the statue of Mahatma Gandhi. It will be followed by visiting the UPCC headquarters, where Congress members will hold meetings with her. Priyanka Gandhi will hold a meeting with the office-bearers of various fronts including Seva Dal, NSUI, Mahila Congress Morcha, all the frontal organisations of the party.


Priyanka Gandhi's Itinerary



  • Arrive at Hazratganj at 1.35 pm to garland Gandhi's statue.

  • Reach party headquarters at 2 pm.

  • Hold meetings at party headquarters from 2 pm to 7 pm.

  • After the meetings, Priyanka will reach the Kaul House and take rest for the night.

  • Will reach the party headquarters on July 17 at 10.20 am.

  • Separate meetings from 10.30 in the morning to 7.30 in the evening.

  • Meeting with block Congress president of Amethi and Rae Bareli on July 17.

  • She will also meet students appearing in different competitive exams and holding protests for delays in recruitment. In addition, she will meet the committee members of the 'berozgar manch'.

  • Meeting with former MP, MLAs, district and city presidents, and members of the frontal organisations.  

  • There will be a meeting with the head of the frontal, department, cell, and district panchayat members and block-level presidents.
