The meeting will be attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, party president J P Nadda, and other senior leaders from UP.

In this meeting, not only the candidature for the next list will be talked about but seat distribution in the coalition will also be discussed.

Sanjay Nishad is the chief of the Nishad Party and Anupriya Patel is from Apna Dal, both of which are a part of the coalition in Uttar Pradesh.

The meeting is of importance as BJP has already released the first list of candidates for the first and second phases of the elections.

With the new candidate list, the party has to not only manage the disappointment of those who did not get a ticket this time but also divide seats wisely with the coalition parties.

From a few days before the candidate list was announced, BJP has been witnessing the resignation of many MLAs who later joined the Samajwadi Party which is the largest opposition for BJP in UP.

The first list announced by the BJP has 107 names. Among these, 105 will be contesting in the first two phases. The other two names are Yogi Adityanath and Keshav Prasad Maurya.

CM Yogi Adityanath’s constituency was a huge question for a long time. Now, it has been clarified that he will be contesting from his home constituency Gorakhpur. And Keshav Prasad Maurya will contest from Sirathu.

The polling on the Sirathu seat will take place in the fifth phase on February 27, and on the Gorakhpur seat in the sixth phase on March 3.
