New Delhi: In view of the decreased covid-19 cases, the Uttar Pradesh administration has lifted all covid related restrictions. According to a notice issued by the UP administration, the restrictions on social gatherings have been removed. The notice was signed by Additional Chief Secretary Ashwani Kumar Awasthi. 


The swimming pools, water parks, and Anganwadi centers will also be opened. However, masks and covid appropriate behaviour is still necessary. On Wednesday, Uttar Pradesh recorded 51 fresh covid-19 cases. 


Following the dip in daily cases, the UP administration had reopened schools and lifted the night curfew earlier. 






Meanwhile, the number of covid-19 cases in the country has also decreased. On Thursday, India recorded 2,539 cases in the last 24 hours which took the overall tally to 4,30,01,477 with 30,799 active cases. 


The number of fatalities recorded in the last 24 hours was 60 which took the total death tally to 5,16,132. 


India currently has 0.07 percent active cases with a daily positivity rate of 0.35 percent. The recovery rate currently stands at 98.73 percent.


180.80 crore vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far. 


Meanwhile, India began an inoculation drive for children aged 12-14 years of age on Wednesday. 


Earlier this year, the Indian administration had begun an inoculation drive for adolescents aged 15-18 years of age along with a ‘precautionary dose’ for people aged above 60 years and those with comorbidities.
