New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath after swearing in for the office for a second term launched ‘School Chalo Abhiyan’ and revived the Janata Darbar on Monday, reported news agency ANI.
The Chief Minister after announcing the launch of the scheme in Uttar Pradesh’s Shravasti, served meals to school children.
CM Adityanath said that school education was the worst hit during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Pandemic affected all aspects of life. But school education was the worst affected. Despite this, when society stands up & fights this battle along with the leadership, we see results. Today we're connecting to 'School Chalo Abhiyan' once again after 2 years,” the CM said during his address in Shravasti.
He stressed on the importance of education as the only factor that can bring about a change in the life of every person, reported ABP News. “Only education can really give a right direction to every citizen and can lay the foundation for their all round development,” the CM said.
Resumption of Janata Darbar
The UP Chief Minister also resumed the Janata Darbar in Hall-01 at his 5-Kalidas residence in Lucknow where the general public came for redressal of their problems.
The Janata Darbar was started by CM Adityanath during his first term in 2017. It was however halted due to Covid-19 pandemic but has now resumed from this year.
