In a tragic incident in Uttar Pradesh's Bhadohi, 30 people, including students and teachers from Vivekanand Inter College in Basti district, sustained injuries when the bus they were traveling in overturned and fell into a ditch. The accident occurred in the Aurai area of Bhadohi as the bus, carrying 48 passengers, was returning to Basti from Vindhyachal late on Sunday evening, news agency PTI reported.


The students from classes 9, 10, and 11 were on a two-day educational tour to Varanasi, Sarnath, Kashi, and Vindhyachal. The bus driver lost control of the vehicle, breaking the roadside railing and causing the bus to plunge into a ditch.


As per PTI, Circle Officer Umeshwar Prabhat Singh stated that after hearing the screams of the passengers, passersby informed the police and assisted in rescuing the trapped individuals by breaking the windows of the bus. The injured were admitted to the Community Health Center and are reported to be out of danger. The bus driver fled the scene after the incident, PTI's report mentioned.


DTC Bus Overturns In Delhi's Rohini


In another accident, in northwest Delhi's Rohini, a Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus overturned on Sunday morning, injuring three people, including the bus driver and conductor. The cause of the accident remains unknown.


A video circulating on social media shows the bus lying on a roadside with a shattered windshield, and people gathered around.





The DTC bus overturned near Sector 15, Rohini. Police teams rushed to the spot upon receiving information about the accident, and the injured were taken to a nearby hospital. An investigation into the matter has been initiated.
