Murdered gangster Atiq Ahmed’s absconding wife Shaista Parveen has now been declared ‘mafia’ by the Uttar Pradesh police in a fresh FIR. The police also mentioned that she is accompanied by a shooter named Sabir all the time. Notably, Sabir is one of the accused in the Umesh Pal murder case and carries a reward of Rs 5 lakh on him. The FIR has been registered by Rajesh Kumar Maurya, in charge of Dhoomanganj police station in Prayagraj.

The FIR was filed on May 2 after police raided the house of Asad’s friend, Ateen Zafar, where Shaista had stayed. Notably, the police had found during the probe that Shaista was in Prayagraj on April 16, a day after her husband Atiq Ahmed and her brother-in-law Ashraf were shot dead outside a medical college in the town.

Police said that she stayed with Sabir at the house of her son’s friend Ateen. Police arrested Ateen on May 2 and during the interrogation, he gave these details. Following this, the police registered an FIR mentioning Shaista Parveen as a 'mafia'. It is being speculated that the police are preparing to put Shaista Parveen's name on the list of mafias soon.
