Two men on a motorcycle shot and killed a woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Jalaun district on Monday morning as she allegedly refused to marry the accused. She was returning from college after giving an exam. According to the police, the girl was identified as Roshni. The main accused identified as Raju was arrested. “Roshni, a 20-year-old woman, was shot dead in broad daylight. While returning home two unidentified youth shot at her and she died due to blood loss,” Iraj Raja, SP Jalaun said, as quoted by ANI. 


“According to her family, known people might have committed the act. The Police constituted 4 teams, are raiding all possible hideouts and will arrest the culprits soon,” he added. The police official further said that the accused revealed that they were in a relationship and due to some differences, woman ended the relationship, as reported by ANI.






“Main accused Raju was arrested, during interrogation, he revealed that they were in a relationship and due to some differences, woman ended the relationship. He kept trying to get in touch with her again but she refused. Accused got agitated, planned this crime and killed her,” Iraj Raja said, as quoted by ANI.


The SP further said that the accused also tried to flee from the spot by snatching the Station House Officer's (SHO) pistol. "Raju Ahirwar was arrested, and he confessed his crime. However, when he was brought for some interrogation, he tried to flee by snatching the SHO's pistol. In counter-firing, the accused suffered injuries, after which he was admitted to the hospital. The investigation is going on, and we are collecting all forms of evidence. We will try to file the chargesheet within a week and get the accused as stringent punishment as possible," he added, as quoted by ANI.
