New Delhi: The Samajwadi Party announced its candidates for six Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh ahead of the upcoming elections. The six candidates are Yashveer Singh for Bijnor, Manoj Kumar for Nagina, Bhanu Pratap Singh for Meerut, Bijendra Singh for Aligarh, Jasveer Valmiki for Hathras, and Daroga Saroj for Lalganj, the party said on X. Additionally, the party revealed that the Bhadohi Lok Sabha seat will be contested by the Trinamool Congress.

TMC has fielded Laliteshpati Tripathi from the Bhadohi Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh, news agency PTI reported.
Ramesh Chand is the current MP of Bhadohi. Ramesh Chand, from the BJP, won the Bhadohi constituency in the Lok Sabha elections 2019, as per The Finacial Express.
The SP has announced a total of 43 candidates in three lists after leaving 17 seats for Congress and now one seat for TMC under the I.N.D.I.A bloc. The Samajwadi Party, a key constituent of the I.N.D.I.A bloc in Uttar Pradesh initially faced challenges in its alliance with the Congress.
However, after extensive negotiations, the two parties have reached a consensus on seat-sharing for the crucial 2024 Lok Sabha elections in the state. Under the agreement, the Congress will contest 17 seats, while the remaining 63 constituencies are allocated to the Samajwadi Party.
Notably, in the 2019 elections, the BJP secured victory in 62 out of 80 seats, with General VK Singh notably clinching the Ghaziabad constituency by a substantial margin over his nearest opponent from the Samajwadi Party.
Singh's resounding win in 2019, along with his record-breaking victory in 2014, underscores the BJP's stronghold in the region and the formidable challenge facing opposition parties in Uttar Pradesh.
