With the help of the district administration and the police, the health department has got drivers to operate the ambulances. CMO Dr. Nepal Singh said that arrangements have been made to run 65 ambulances out of 80. Whereas out of 3 ALS i.e. Advanced Life Support Ambulance, 2 ALS are being run.

Mohammad Anees, who came to drive the ambulance, said that the drivers who used to drive tempo, truck, and other vehicles have been engaged in the work of running the ambulance.

In such a situation, the ambulances are driven by novices and they are also making mistakes. They hope that now their job can be permanent because ambulances are being run by assuring so.

The agitating contract drivers say that their agitation will continue till their demands are met. The alternative arrangements made by the health department cannot last long as these drivers neither have experience in driving ambulances nor do they have technical staff.
