Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi on Saturday attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party saying the unemployment rates have increased after the saffron party formed government at the Centre and in Uttar Pradesh. 


Speaking during Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad, Priyanka said urged people not cast their vote based on bogus promises. 


"Congress Party has schemes, you can easily understand this by your own experiences. Don't cast your vote based on bogus promises, cast your vote according to your experiences," she said.






"This Nyay Yatra was commenced because injustice is being done to the youth of the nation," said the party national general secretary. 


Training guns on the BJP dispensation in the state, Priyanka said, "48 lakh students wrote the exam for UP Police but the paper was leaked... As BJP's government is formed in the centre and state, unemployment rates have increased." 


"Until you are not employed, you don't get facilities, paper leaks are not stopped, there will be no development. Change will happen only when you cast your vote according to your experiences," she added.

On Saturday, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath cancelled the recruitment examination for 60,244 constable positions in the UP Police. The decision was made after reviewing the matter in a high-level meeting with police and administrative officials.


The exam was conducted on February 17 and 18, with application from nearly 50 lakh candidates of which 48 lakh appeared for the exam. 


CM Adityanath directed officials that the recruitments be conducted with full transperancy within six months.
